MOISTURE MANAGEMENT
All natural fibers absorb moisture from the atmosphere. In the case of wool, this happens in greater proportion than others. Wool is hygroscopic, absorbing water vapor in a humid atmosphere and losing it in a dry one.
Wool fiber can absorb up to 50% of its weight, while synthetic fabrics retain only 4% before they feel wet. The liquid retained in the cortex of the fiber is evaporated by exposing the garment to air and sun. Merino wool can absorb sweat in a highly effective way. This allows moisture to enter into the interior of the fibers and preventing your body from feeling wet.
COMFORT
Koshkil Merino’s fine narrow fiber does not itch. It has a uniform diameter of 14 to 18.5 microns. Its fineness and size uniformity provides incredible softness and comfort.
ODOUR RESISTANT
Koshkil Merino wool contains natural antibacterial properties. Each fiber consists of a multitude of overlapping scales, allowing a high level of moisture absorption, creating an atmosphere that prevents bacterial odor.
STRETCH
Property closely related to its composition, it refers to the fact that the yarn returns to its natural length after stretching.
The elasticity of wool is determined by the helical structure of its molecules.
Thanks to this natural property to recover its extension, Koshkil wool has the ability to retain the shape, helping to comfort and responding to the extreme demands of strength and stability, so it can bend easily without cracking or breaking.
THERMAL CONTROL
Merino wool is an excellent thermal regulator. It maintains an ideal balance between your body and the environment.
This process is known as “heat of sorption”: the fabric absorbs moisture and retains heat when the temperature is cold and wet. And when it is warm, wool releases moisture through the process of “evaporative cooling”
RENEWABLE AND NATURAL
Koshkil Merino wool is a natural product. It is durable when in use, yet recyclable and biodegradable at the end of its life cycle.
EASY CARE
The moisture absorption characteristics of the Merino Koshkil fiber and its special resilience also contribute to the excellent recovery of the wrinkles that may arise on the clothes.
UV PROTECTION
Koshkil Merino wool offers total UV protection.
It is naturally endowed with protection against ultraviolet rays with a UPF 25-50 +.
